Other Metric Comparisons:

A kilometer is a little over 1/2 mile.
2 1/2 cm is about an inch.
A nickel weighs about 5 grams.
A small paper clip weighs about 1 gram.
A penny is about 2.5 grams.
Doorknobs are about 1 meter from the floor.
The height of most doors is 2 meters.
A gallon of milk is about 4 kilograms (8 lbs).
